Hawayi represent an icon in Teluk Intan (TI) and a visit to the town will not be complete without a quick stop to Hawayi, where lots of traditional local dishes and desserts are served.
Started since 1980 as Hawaii, a street site vendor outside a local cinema (大华戏院) and in-front of the local bus station, Hawaii was already a local favourites since then.As Hawaii make way for local property developments, it shifted gradually over four (4) times to the present location, stone throw away from local schools. Students will often hangout at this road site stall before the afternoon schools opens or for those who have just finish their morning school sessions. Thus for locals, this is where we hang out to catch with friends and chat over a bowl of Air Batu Campur (ABC) and LAKSA!
Today, many locals still practice the tradition of "gathering at Hawayi", to catch up regularly and enjoy the traditional taste of ABC and Laksa. For returning locals, this is everyone favourite place to be.
Today, Hawaii continues its journey with continuing innovations and "Hawayi" branding, while maintaining its 40 years tradition and taste. To cater for the growing tourism industry and banding, we have made additional investment in Cleanliness and Hygienic.
